We call ourselves Code Scientists because we love to dig in, figure things out, do the research, and apply the scientific method to the art of building software. Our founders have over twenty and thirty years of experience, respectively, developing commercial software and hardware applications.
The Story
A little over eight years ago, we decided to call our company “Code Scientists.” Our philosophy is that writing code is both a science and an art.
The science of our work lies in our deep understanding of the various frameworks, platforms our applications run on, and the databases we use to store your data. We are experts in the programming languages we write in, the algorithms we utilize and develop, and the hardware that supports it all.
The art of our work is embodied in the aesthetics of our code. We believe that quality is an accumulation of following best practices, thorough testing, and caring about the look and feel of the code that sits below what the users see on their devices.
We have written everything from desktop and Enterprise-level Internet applications to mobile apps and device drivers, from machine learning algorithms to firmware.
Our diverse educational backgrounds include Computer Information Systems and Computer Science from top universities, lifelong personal devotion to coding, and Data Science from MIT. “Code Scientists” is a much better description of what we do—constantly learning and solving problems—than any other name that we could think of.
We love to code, live to code, and that is why we are Code Scientists.
